About

I’m Nicole Quenelle, a 100% human freelance writer and communications/outreach consultant living in Philadelphia, PA. I have 15+ years of experience communicating the impact of technology, science, R&D, environmental, grant, and non-profit programs to a wide range of audiences. I have worked as a freelance contractor or subcontractor for organizations including NASA, the Department of Energy, academic research institutes, environmental non-profits, government contracting organizations, tech startups, and more.

My recent work includes leading communications for a NASA flight testing program; increasing awareness of a Pennsylvania conservation program through integrated communications; and leading venue outreach for an accessible indoor wayfinding technology to improve user experience for blind and visually impaired visitors and others.

Clients count on me to provide clear, compelling, accurate, accessible, and informative communication to drive change, compel action, and gather interest around innovative efforts, initiatives, and programs that can improve our world, planet, and communities.

Outside of my communications work, I’m an avid hiker, yogi, and fitness enthusiast; arts practitioner; auntie; and basketball fan. I volunteer time to leading tree planting teams in Philly’s urban neighborhoods. My connection to the arts and environmental advocacy plays a strong role in the sensibility I bring to my communications work as well; it drives the questions I ask and the impact I hope to help realize. We all live on this spinning blue ball together, and I hope my work can help improve the time we have together while we’re here.
